270lbs-247lbs and counting. LOSER!

If you see the Guinness (damm good pint btw) you will surely see the spare tire of Curtis. Yep, that’s becoming a relic of another time, accompanied by the other lonely relic of free time for anything. Nola’s school is a 2 minute walk down the street from the crib. Finny goes to the naionra, which is the preschool. That’s a different story by about 2.5-3 miles. And yes…….I walk it…….sometimes twice daily. It’s a great trek up the main drag to Baile An tSagairt (home of the priest) if you’re looking at a google map. If the weather permits it it’s transcendent.

It’s safe to say that there’s nothing too special about walking 10-12 miles a day for a people who regard the power walk as the new night out on the town. It was explained to me that when the recession hit people here would be at least mentally and physically fit enough to deal with whatever came their way and seeing as there’s no better use of time and endorphin management than a power walk it’s easy to find a lot of very healthy people throwing down and going hard on the bricks. That’s a 62 word sentence. I’m done.

About The Curtis / McCullough Contingency

We're a family out of southern California transported into Connemara, Ireland. This is our story of why, when, where and how & hopefully a well attended to living narrative of life v 3.0. My hope is that it will be less of an operating manual and travelogue and more of a personal outlet that leads a viewer to reverse engineer the content to put together their own unique picture of what they might be going through if they were in our shoes.

It’s a good thing to get rid of the excess weight one does not need. Finding that ideal weight and keeping there can be very tricky but, when all is in balance, it seems to occur naturally. Here’s to balance (raise yer pint and drink, laddie!).
